Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi has set another MLS record with champions Portland Timbers.
The African man, scored in Portland Timbers 2-1 win over Salvadoran side CD Dragon in El Salvador, becoming the first-ever MLS player to score competitive goals in five different countries.
Adi has now scored in USA, Canada, Guyana, Costa Rica and El Salvador; thereby setting a new record.
Adi is equally the only Portland Timbers player to have appeared in all of their seven CONCACAF Champions league games since their debut in 2014.
Fanendo Adi has scored 17 competitive goals for Timbers in 2016, and only needs a goal to becoming Timber’s all-time record goal scorer in a single season.
Adi has scored four goals in CONCACAF Champions League since 2014.
