Algeria Football Federation (FAF) has disclosed that there will be a replacement for coach Milovan Rajevac before next year’s AFCON, through
their president, Mohamed Raouraou.
Serb tactician, Rajevac resigned from his position on Tuesday after dressing-room unrest just after their 1-1 home draw with Cameroon in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
“It will be impossible to hire a new coach before the match in Nigeria (November 12),” said FAF president, Raouraou.
“At this moment there are no names as likely coaches. But the national team will have a new coach before the Nations Cup.”
Assistant coaches, Nabil Neghiz and Yazid Mansouri will temporary take charge of the team for their world cup qualifier next month against Nigeria.
WRITER'S OPINION
Can the assistant coaches handle a Nigeria team that boasts of several talents?
I believe they (FAF) know what they are doing. As loss to Nigeria will be very disastrous to the team.
