Nigerian Bayelsa United goalkeeper Iboro Rich Akpakpan is dead.
The former Ocean Boys shot-stopper
who played until his death with Bayelsa United was pronounced dead Friday afternoon.
While details of the goalkeeper's death Iboro remains unconfirmed, tributes were pouring in on social media pages for the late goalkeeper.
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa described the departed soul as a close ally, he said "Sad news, my brother, my friend, a great goalkeeper we all started the journey of football together. Left this world not up to 3 hours ago. Iboro Rich Akpakpan I we never forget you. Rest in peace my friend. God knows the best."
Coaches Stephen Keshi and Shuaibu Amodu died few months ago.
